Designer: Please add an option to merge layers

I was very confused by this, because if you just google "Affinity merge layers" the help for Affinity photo will show up telling you that there is a merge option in the context menu if you select multiple pixel layers, however there is none:

What I also don't get: Why is there an option to rasterize pixel layers? They are already rasterized!

Hello @3chars and welcome to the forums.

Merging layers is only available in Affinity Photo, but not with the pixel persona in Affinity Designer.
And rasterise... is intended for vector objects, text layers and image layers. Image layers are also pixel documents, but the resolution value (dpi) is retained when the size is changed. If an image layer is rasterised, it retains the resolution value of the Designer, Photo or Publisher document.
