scale transform instead of rotate

I do reproduce it.

I don't know if it happens in new document.

Using macos sonoma 14.7.1 , macbook m1 pro 14''.

The thing happens at 10 second mark in the video. I want to rotate the object but at time of click it registers as scale.

This is a known issue currently logged with the developers, i've bumped the issue with your report. Using a mouse over the macbook trackpad can alleviate this issue.
