Hi, a lot of blurry icons in UI on 1920 x 1200 monitor here ( Eizo CG2420 ) will this be fixed? In V1 it was fixed.

D.

Are you using the V2.6 Beta?

I can confirm it on my Mac, using Sequoia and having installed the V2.6 Beta (for the previews).

I created the attached document in V2.5.5, saved it, selected it in Finder and pressed Space for Quicklook.

I was under the impression that StraightFromSpace was concerned with the icons in the application UI rather than the file thumbnails.

If we can get the full-screen screenshot (preferably annotated) which was requested earlier then that should help to clarify things.

Hi @StraightFromSpace,
Thanks for the additional info. I confirm there's indeed report of icons in several places that appear blurry on non-retina screens. I was convinced the issue was just appearing for those using dual screen configs but that's not the case. I'm updating (and bumping) the existing reports accordingly to bring this up to devs attention again. Thank you.

Sure and one more thing - iam not sure this is related to the icon set becouse in transform box settings icons and numbers in X,Y,W,H are blury not 100% sure it is related to the different contrast but for sure in V.1 there is lot more sharpnes in this box.

Cheers!

Out of curiosity, I just did some tests with my 27" 4K BenQ screen by changing the resolution in the “Settings” panel (macOS Sonoma), “Monitors” and choosing each of the 5 possible options. For my current use, I choose the 4th position which is close (scale) to a 5K iMac. BUT, by choosing the fifth and last option, the one on the right which offers the lowest resolution, some icons in Affinity Designer (v2.5.5) are very BLURRY (see the attached screenshot). From there to think that some graphic resources are missing and that the application is using resources by upscaling-downscaling them!… Below, a screenshot...

I have been experiencing this same issue with the same icon sets for some time now.  I'm glad to know the issue is being bumped in importance to the devs.
