KrisMarie Posted November 7, 2024 Posted November 7, 2024 hi there, i am trying to create a colouring from this: nothing commercial, just for my own hobby stuff and learning. to do this i create a new cancas, take a stock photo, fit it to the canvas and then create a new gradient layer: in photoshop i've always used the eyedropper tool, and then seclected and pasted in the #00000 colour number, and then gone back to the palette, copy and paste the next colour using the eyedropper tool..ect ect.. and never had an issue clicking between tabs and colours like that. im really struggling to do that in affinity, everytime i go back to the pallette above and choose a colour, and then go to to my canvas to create more colours on the gradient, it doesnt stay..it just changes to the current colour im picking..it should have a gradient look to the layer with all the colours and it doesnt. i just need help in knowing how to use the eyedropper tool efectivly to create a gradient layer using colours above.
