Affinity photo file "appears to be corrupted"

I have been using this file and saving it on an external drive, I have gone back and forth and saved multiple times with no issue, until opening it today to find a message that the file has been corrupted, is there anything that could be done to recover it?

Hi @ajkazun877 and welcome to the forums,

Unfortunately, the file does appear to be corrupt...

While I can open it, it only displays three pixel layers. However, I cannot re-save it as an Affinity Photo File, and if exported as a layered Tiff file, it flattens the image, showing the file corruption (right image).

Do you have a backup of your file you can use?
