With a text frame selected using the gradient tool (targeting the frame) and a different color assigned to each of stroke and fill; I was able to reproduce the stroke width mismatch with the release version but the color behavior appears to be new with the beta?

I also discovered that after setting the appearance properties for the frame and creating a new text frame, the text within the new text frame takes on the appearance set for the previous frame (not for its text).

Can you please attach a screen recording of your entire screen with the colour panel visible to understand what's going on?

Also, another video for the stroke value being different please.
