An error occurred while exporting to :

Recommended Posts

I have a book ready to go off to the printers and I cannot export to PDF. " An error occurred while exporting to :" is the message I get.

I have all the photos embedded although there is a font warning about one font Avenir Book which I've replaced with Avenir medium.

I've updated all software I'm on Sequoia 15.1 on a Mac Studio 2 . Any thoughts please

Thanks for picking this up Garry . I have tried both these and variations of them but the Error message comes up every time 2/3 of the way through.

I have replaced the fonts that cropped up as a problem: Avenir Book replaced by Avenir

I converted all the pages in the Affinity Publisher doc to double page JPG spreads and created a new document pasting them all in. It exported fine,  but it's not a satisfactory method.

The quality from that approach will be...  less than optimal!

Does this only effect the one document?  One thing to try would be to remove one page at a time (make a backup first in case you accidentally save!), and attempt to publish each time.  That way you may be able to pin down the troublesome page.

I assume you can't share the file here for others to try publishing it?

If you mean trying to export to different storage devices and/or folders, have you tried exporting directly to a folder on your internal drive that is not synced to any cloud service?
