clear format Button not shown.

hi,

i updated now to 2.5.5
an still cant find the magic clear format button.
Is there an other method to remove formating, despite the button?

my text wraps an behaves strange, will this change after removing the format?
why is it like this?

Publisher doesn’t have a “magic clear format button”? Which formatting do you want to clear?

What do you mean by “text wrap an behaves strange”? Strange in what way?

What do you mean by “why is it like this?” What is the “it” and what were you expecting which is different to what you have?

If you don’t tell us what you are expecting or wanting, it’s often difficult for us to know how what you have is different to what you want.

how do i ged rid of any text formating? did copy paste in win text editor, in hope to get it unformated, but this method doesnt seem to  work.

i get different leadings, and i cant find out why?

Do you mean Enter, paragraph break? These are not part of the "format", but part of the "text" which you write/paste.
To make sure it's an embedded Entry, try displaying special characters (menu Text, Show Special Characters).

If you have separate paragraphs, then you can control the spacing between them using settings in the Paragraph panel. The default puts a 12 pt gap between paragraphs so you can see where they start/end, but you can change that.

But, after I press the Enter key in the text, the space to the next line isn’t a simple single line but takes on a formatted spacing that I can’t control.

Btw how can i turn the backgroud canvas from darkgray to white?

i could fix it. sone "text style" was formated "wrong".

complex for a newbee in affinity.
