If I create a selection with the ML - Tool and delete it, inpainiting the Selection, the subsequent image becomes transparent at the deleted position. If I make the selection in the old way, all is fine.

It seems that the ML selection is very soft on the edges, which the selection with the standard selection tools does not do. If I extend the selection by e.g. 10px after deleting, the result is also better, although not perfect.

Normally I use only 2-3 px to enlarge the selection.

If you turn Soft Edges off in the Context toolbar when using the ML Object Selection Tool you should see better results...

An issue raised in this thread ("Inpainting a deleted selection made with soft edges results in image with transparency") has now been reported to the developers by the testing team (Ref: AF-4956). Thank you very much for reporting this issue to us.
