Hi there

I cannot purchase Affinity for the price advertised - The cart changes the price!

I have contacted support, with a confirmation that they have received my email. But it has been almost a week now without any reply.

I have also tried various browsers and it did not solve the problem.

In purchasing options, it says:

"Get Version 2 of Affinity Designer, Affinity Photo and Affinity Publisher on all operating systems, including iPad, for one low bundle price". V2 universal license is ZAR 1,249.99

As soon as I add it to cart it says:

Total (including tax) ZAR 1,249.99

 

But as soon as I go to the next checkout step to pay, it jumps to $164.99 (ZAR 2,877.72)
 
I would appreciate it if the Affinity staff can get back to me. Thanks.

Hello @NoWay an welcome to the forums.

First of all, I am not a Serif employee. 

The price of $164.99 roughly corresponds to the price of the universal licence. The single licences are around $80,.00 depending on the exchange rate to the US dollar which is close to the 1249.99 ZAR.

The stated price of R 1249.99 is most probably an input error in the website programming.

Hi there

Thanks for the reply :) If the website has an error, I feel it should still be sold to me at the advertised price. As soon as the error is fixed, they can charge the normal price.

Their pricing shown on my side, has wasted quite a bit of my time so far (logging in daily, trying numerous times, installing other browsers etc.)...It does not create a very good impression.

I think there are laws on price displays...not sure it applies here. If it doesn't apply here, in my opinion, they should sell it to to me regardless for the sake of their good name.

I want to sincerely apologize to the Affinity staff and company. I could purchase the software at the price specified but ONLY AFTER filling in the payment details.

I highly suggest Affinity changes this to be more clear because I never would have purchased the software if I did not contact the staff and forum. I am sure there will be some other users who may find the pricing update to cart a bit unclear.
