Hello,

I would like to use this post to draw attention to the problems when working professionally over network/cloud-drives and, above all, to ask who else has similar problems.

In the worst case, these problems led to placed graphics being missing in the print PDF.

Has Serif made any statement about this?

@DanC wrote in this post https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/190892-graphics-are-not-displayed-until-i-zoom-in/ almost a year ago "A colleague of mine has been able to replicate this on their Synology SMB drive, and therefore I have logged this with our developers for further investigation." The post, however, did not receive a bug number. Meanwhile, I have even switched my NAS to a QNAP in the hope that it was Synology's fault. But even then, the problems are still the same. In this respect, I can pretty much rule out that it is a problem with my setup.

So who else has problems like this when working over a network, and who works over a network without problems and is willing to share their configuration, network protocols used, etc. to get to the bottom of the problem?

Thanks!

Hi Peter B,

Apologies for the delayed response to this, it looks as though you may have provided the wrong link as I can't see any posts from Dan in that thread, do you have a link to Dan's post so I can check the bug report he made?

Thanks
C

Hi @Callum,

Here is the link to Dan's post. It is about copied elements, but the cause of the problem is very likely the same.

If you have time, please also check if you can determine the context with Bonjour service.

Thanks
