I suspect you have multiple text boxes on page 5 where it is going wrong.

... one text frame is apparently from the Master Page (this page may have a different Master Page than the others), because it cannot be modified - crosses on the corners.

All page have Master Page A applied. If you look at the diagram you see a flow mark from page 6 but when I scroll down it just disappears and I cannot delete it. Could it be that  its corrupted?

Either you have another text frame on this page, or this page may have multiple Master pages defined.
Can you possibly post your document on the forum? Perhaps only shortened to page 6/7, or even with a filled-in text instead of your text.

Doesn't the bounding box 'x' handles simply indicate that this object is currently selected?

What disappears and what can't you delete?

Can you show where the text flow from page 5 is targeting to? – Or can you 'unflow' the text flow of page 5 and link it to page 6 instead?

Yes. It's a text frame from the master page - hence the "x" handles, but they show up because it's selected 🙂

The link from page 5 leads to page 12, the previous page 11 is no longer linked anywhere. Page 6 is linked somewhere from the end of the document.

So it should be possible to unlink page 6 and to link page 5 to 6 and page 11 to 12. Doesn't that work, @fitzj? – Or did you move pages within the Pages Panel?

I think the issues is I moved pages around which should be normal procedure. I want to post the template with filler text as its difficult for anyone to see what is going on here. Is there a way to remove all graphic  as clear only works for text?

Not possible to link 6 and 7 and If I break the chain all my data just disappears and I cannot  find it.

You can see a flow from Frame 6 which seems to go nowhere the only way to follow it is scroll out but as you scroll it just disappears.

As nothing is linked into page 6, but it's linked out to another page, you might add true Filler Text to the text frame on page 6, and format it in some obnoxious color. It will fill the frame on page 6 and overflow into the frame page 6 is linked to. Then just scroll down in the workspace or the Pages panel to find a later page with filler text using that color.

Could someone point out what I'm doing  incorrectly with this text flow problem

I am not certain what you want/need. Do you want text to flow from Page 1 to 7 then skip Pages 8, and 9 and continue on with pages 10 to whatever?

I will assume that is what you want. I will also assume there is one 'story' or text flow from page 1 to page whatever. As opposed to several 'stories' or text flows.

The easiest way is to use the Pages panel and select page 2 (so you have a blue highlight on it) and then scroll down to the last page (page whatever) and Shift + Click on it so all the pages except page 1 are selected. Hit the little trashcan icon to delete all the pages except page 1. Now you can Shift + Click on the text overflow triangle and you'll have all the text flowing.

Go to page 7, click on the text flow triangle and click on the text on page 7. This will break the flow.

Now scroll down to page 10 and click on page 10 in the text frame.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
