gskidmark Posted November 3, 2024 Posted November 3, 2024 I am having a recurring error when expanding strokes on certain text characters. THIS ONLY HAPPENS ON CONVERTED ILLUSTRATOR FILES. The font is Futura Condensed Medium. I am using 54 point text with a 3 point stroke. Here are the steps I take to turn the live text into curves. Select the text. Command-Return to convert the text to curves. Go to Layer > Expand Stroke All characters expand as expected except for the letter S. See what happens in the video. I created these files several years ago in Illustrator and I edit as necessary in AD. If I create files from scratch in AD I do not have this issue. CleanShot 2024-11-03_1.mp4 Quote
Staff Callum Posted January 10 Staff Posted January 10 Hi Gskidmark, We occasionally find issues like this especially when working with files converted from another app's native format if possible could you provide a copy of the file so I can look into this further here and see if there's anything we can do? Thanks C gskidmark 1 Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP.

Thanks C @Callum It seems to be a combination of a converted Illustrator file along with the specific font, Futura Medium Condensed. Thanks, Gary Quote
Staff Callum Posted January 10 Staff Posted January 10 Hi Gary, strangely this seems to be working fine for me here using the version of Futura Medium that ships with Mac OS are you using a different version at all? Thanks C Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP.
gskidmark Posted January 10 Author Posted January 10 After some digging around, I found that I was using a different version of Futura Medium. Sorry about that. Quote
