Hello all,

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but for some reason, when I draw a text box in Publisher there is space on the left. The text isn't flush with the text box, like usually it is. I know Publisher remembers what you did last, but I'm almost sure I removed what I did last. I've shown a screenshot hoping someone can assist me with figuring out what I'm doing or not doing that is causing this. No text style is applied. But I must be missing something.

With the Frame Text layer selected, did you try pressing the “Revert Defaults” button on the Toolbar?

If that didn’t fix it, did you try to replicate the problem in a new document?

If that gave you the same problem, try using the font in an Artistic Text layer to see if you still get the gap.

If the problem is extant in the Artistic Text layer then there might be an issue with the font.

If you can supply the document we can look at it further.

Check the paragraph panel for any left indent setting

To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. If any of "my" posts are wrong or appear to be total b*ll*cks they are the ones generated by the AI. If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.

@GarryP Much appreciation. I selected the frame text and pressed the "revert defaults" button on the toolbar. That fixed the problem instantly.

@carl123 yes, thank you for the suggestion. I had checked that too before posting. Perhaps I should have included a screenshot of that too.
