How to remove white background affinity designer?

I made a new business card template and i have a vector object on that business card template. But i want to have the background of the business card transparant not white. How can i do that?

Click on Document  (menu) > Transparent Background.

Hopefully the white background isn't part of the vector graphic.

If it is you might need to use the background erase tool, or another technique.

That works thank you. Just switched from illustrator so still figuring stuff out.
