This is my first time posting.  I administer a membership list that changes regularly and needs quarterly updating.  It has sensitive information including email addresses and phone numbers, so I don't want to post the file to a forum.  I will, however, share the file with Support in another manner.

I have taken screen shots of the error messages that I'm getting.  I have 2 cloud accounts--Dropbox and pCloud--one is personal and one is for the non-profit I work with.  I thought  the problem  might have something to do with the Cloud so I started saving to the hard drive but continue to receive these alarming messages.  Sometimes I can successfully save the file by executing a "Save as" and giving it a new new name.  However, the last time I worked on this file, I made a minor update and was unable to save it at all.  Here are the messages I get every time I open the most recent file, and this is the message that I got on my most recent attempt.  Please help!  There is a fair amount of work invested in this document.

Hi @shedonlj and welcome to the forums. I suggest deleting the photo you attached because personal information is visible in the screenshot.

I don't know why you're having an error saving the file so I'll leave that to somebody else, but in the meantime, you can probably rescue this file by creating a new file and then choosing Document > Add Pages from File and importing the pages into the new document. Save that under a new name and hopefully that will be fine.

Good luck!

First off...
Dealing with sensitive information and then keeping it in the cloud isn't my idea of 'keeping things confidential'.. 🤷‍♂️

But... Try saving the files -outside- of the iCloud/Dropbox environment on your machine. So a different folder completely outside the automatic upload/save system of the cloud systems.
See if that changes things. If it does, the systems behind both cloud storage systems are messing with Affinity's own for saving files.
Me personally, I hate anything Dropbox/iCloud/OneDrive setups that will save automatically data for you to the cloud. It always messes things up at some point......

Point taken, but at least Dropbox is encrypted. Most forums are not.  I will try your suggestion because I think my hard drive is being subjected to the auto upload via Dropbox. Perhaps I can disable that function.

Thanks.
