Ward574 Posted November 2, 2024 Posted November 2, 2024 I have a document that I’ve created and edited with the desktop version of Affinity Publisher. I’m making use of two fields in a master page, saved date and save count. But unfortunately neither of these fields appear to be working in the iPad version of the app. The file, opened on my iPad, is missing these objects. Trying to reinsert them only works with the date - the saved count doesn’t work at all. I’m using this to create a set of technical drawings. The save date and the save count are used to keep track of which is the latest version of the document in printouts that inevitably get scattered around the office. Quote

Ward574 Posted November 3, 2024 Author Posted November 3, 2024 The text objects are there in the layers list in the master, but the <saved> field is blank, producing an empty text box. The <save count> field is 0 when it should be >30. The saved date field appears in the fields panel (accessed via onscreen keyboard), but does not work - it inserts nothing. There is no field option for save count at all, so this cannot be inserted. In other words, the fields are there in the file. But aren’t being rendered/interpreted properly and cannot be fixed or recreated via the iPad version. walt.farrell 1 Quote
