creativeguru Posted November 2, 2024 Posted November 2, 2024 It makes no sense to me why a user can't add and modify meta data in Affinity Photo like a user can in Adobe Photoshop? Yes, there are a few meta data fields that can be altered in Photo but it is no where as robust as what you can do in Adobe Photoshop. It's this missing feature in Photo which prevents me from fully switching from Adobe Photoshop to Affinity Photo. Adding and editing a photo's meta data is even more important as AI permeates more of the web and our lives. I contacted Affinity years ago about this topic but it seems they just don't want to do it or see it as a real need. The fact is Adobe keeps raising their price which at this point makes it almost not affordable for many users. Users are looking for an equal comparable to Adobe Photoshop. Just look at all the forums. There are a lot of unhappy and unsatisfied Adobe customers. Quote
Oufti Posted November 3, 2024 Posted November 3, 2024 It would be an appreciated bonus if Affinity could make use of ExifTool, like GraphicConverter does on macOS… Otherwise ExifTool is a good tool in itself, but not so fun to use… Quote Affinity Suite 2.5 – Monterey 12.7.5 – MacBookPro 14" 2021 M1 Pro 16Go/1To I apologise for any approximations in my English.
