Hangman Posted November 2, 2024 Posted November 2, 2024 Hi @Return, This is because, in the MB query, you have the Lock Status set to Unlocked so it is simply honouring the query settings... Uncheck the Lock Status in the MB query and then the objects won't be hidden... Still a bit amiss I think. I'm slightly unsure what the expected behaviour is when no options are selected, i.e., whether Hide and Show should literally Hide and Show everything when no options are selected with the available options purely to restrict what is hidden and shown... The behaviour is the same in the Retail version so this isn't new to the Beta but it would be helpful to understand the expected behaviour when no options are selected for a query... Agree... 1 hour ago, Return said: If lock status option is switched off, no locked or unlocked objects should be targeted. That's the part I'm unsure about... I've never actually created an empty query before so I hadn't considered what would or should happen in that scenario... It seems to be the case that when no options are set in a query, i.e., you have an empty query, the hide and show icons act in the same way as toggling layer visibility in the layers panel when all layers are selected... I think it would be helpful if someone in the moderation team could clarify the expected behaviour for this situation, e.g., if no options are set in the query, should the hide and show icons be active or greyed out and if active, what is the expected behaviour? Staff EmT Posted November 5, 2024 Staff Posted November 5, 2024 Hi @Return If you have a query with nothing selected, it will apply to everything when pressing show/hide. There is a Scope dropdown at the bottom that allows you to control this. By default Document will work on all objects in the document, and Selection will limit that to just your selection.
