kat Posted November 2, 2024 Posted November 2, 2024 How do I export a pdf that can be edited in Acrobat from Apub 2.5? Maybe 1 of the pdf presets? Quote Affinity Suite v2.6.3, Mac Mini M2 Pro 2023, Sonoma, OS 14.1.1 https://www.funkyhistory.com
Brian_J Posted November 2, 2024 Posted November 2, 2024 APub doesn't have the ability to create forms with things like text fields and checkboxes, so there's no way to export PDFs that can accept data input in Acrobat. It would be a nice feature to have — I hope that functionality is added to APub at some point. kat 1 Quote Windows 10 22H2 | Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 (MSI/EXE)
kat Posted November 2, 2024 Author Posted November 2, 2024 Possibly I wasn't clear. I want to export a pdf that I can then go into Acrobat and edit the pdf mostly with comments. No need to edit the pdf in Apub. Quote Affinity Suite v2.6.3, Mac Mini M2 Pro 2023, Sonoma, OS 14.1.1 https://www.funkyhistory.com

That should be possible with any PDF you export from the Affinity applications. They are standard PDF files. kat and Brian_J 1 1 Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. kat Posted November 2, 2024 Author Posted November 2, 2024 Turns out she was trying to open it with Acrobat Reader, so of course no deal. Small exported pdf opens fine in my Acrobat Pro X v10. kat Posted November 2, 2024 Author Posted November 2, 2024 How do I make a pdf in Acrobat pro x so it can be opened and edited, (comments etc) in Reader? My partner reminded me that we used to do that for proofreaders who didn’t have Pro. But I've forgotten how, something about save as extended for Reader, one of 3 options. I think you need to be asking that in an Adobe forum! 😏 R C-R 1 Quote Acer XC-895 : Core i5-10400 Hexa-core 2.90 GHz : 32GB RAM : Intel UHD Graphics 630 – Windows 11 Home - Affinity Publisher, Photo & Designer, v2 (As I am a Windows user, any answers/comments I contribute may not apply to Mac or iPad.)
