affinity photo Panorama of a wine cellar in a monastery (dark)

I shot this at fairly high iso (6400) at Eberbach Monastery's wine cellar and stitched it up in Affinity Photo without a hitch.

The location may seem familiar if you've seen the Sean Connery movie "The Name of the Rose". 

I'm doing pretty much all of my panoramas in Affinity Photo now. The 32-Bit float ones I still do in PTgui pro for now, but that's about it. Which may change with v1.5 and the HDR bubble feature.  ;)

That's an amazing balance of tonal balance, depth and warmth. Not all dark cellars are foreboding; this one looks very tempting! Hic! :P

it's not bad as far as cellars go. Air is reasonably good in there. It felt nice in there, not gloomy or anything. I think it's the warm candle light that friendlies up the place.

The wine is ridiculously expensive though. Some of the ancient (not just old) bottles they keep would buy you a decent house in an affluent neighbourhood. They get moved once a day by someone who's job is just that.

No, not my first one :) All of my stuff goes through Affinity now at some point. I ditched Adobe a few months after Designer came out and used that to edit images even :) — I had a clean install and wanted to see how far I can take it. Haven't gone back since. This is what I've done with Photo so far in terms of photographs https://500px.com/frankjonen/galleries/made-with-affinitythese ones were just with Designer   https://500px.com/frankjonen/galleries/affinity-designer - Imagine using Illustrator to edit photographs :)

Beautiful photography! It's nice to see what someone who knows what they are doing can do with Affinity apps even at this early stage of their development. Gives me hope that I will be able to get what I need from them as well.

Thanks guys. :wub:   And yeah, it's easy to forget that this isn't even a 2.0 product. Especially with the "oh why does this even exist if it doesn't replicate what I do in app X for 100% in version 1.0" crowd at times.
