I have this Publisher project on my PC consisting of a main folder, couple of subfolders, one is Images, that lives in my iCloud Drive.

I place an image from the Images subfolder, save and close the program, go to my iPad, open the project and get this message (see the video).

Why doesn’t it link the image? I must tap Ignore All, go to Rresourse Manages, long press the image and choose Relink. That opens the Images folder again and when I tap Open, the image gets linked.

Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug or what?

Hello, the same issue is happening with me.

On my pc and mac, I can access a single publisher file via iCloud which contains linked files and work from each machine independently with no issues.

On my iPad however I am receiving the 'linked resource permission denied' prompt and fall in to a loop of authorisation. The relink option won't even work for me either. This is disappointing as I need the iPad for the nature of my work.

Publisher has been granted access in settings > privacy and security > files and folders as well so this shouldn’t be happening!

Did you manage to solve the issue?

If I tap “Ignore all”, go to Resource Manager, long press the image and choose Relink from the pop up menu and tap Open,  the image/images get linked.

Really huge and annoying thing.
it feels like this is expected behavior as the iPad app doesn’t seem to have default permission to access files in iCloud. Fine.
but why isn’t there a „link all“ button?! Why do have to link each and every image individually?
this alone renders publisher on iPad completely useless as I work primarily with linked images for brochures.

Hi!
Actually I think it links all the images when you link one.

You were right. I just assumed this wasnt fixed. It now is even enough to once link the parental folder. If the subfolder structue hasnt changed it even links those files! So for me it works after linking the images either from the initial prompt or later from the resource manager tab.

thanks for making me aware. I just saw the prompt pop up and closed the app out of frustration.
