As I have to keep a very siloed folder system for clients, with sub-folders for every project, for various filetypes, for server-sync, etc. etc… I'd find that more convenient and resistant to error. The ability to choose the original folder of the opened file as the export folder should be included in the settings! (P.S. Orginal folder could be default location for export in case new files. If someone choose another location it should be "remembered in file" and used in case further export. it is the simplest and maybe the most convenient option.
