App crashes selecting a subject

Recommended Posts

It doesn't matter what picture I open, as soon as I try to select a subject the app crashes. I am using an iMac 3 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i5, 40 GB 2667 MHz DDR4 with Sequoia 15.0.1 Operating Software. This is with the Affinity 2.6 beta version.

Hi @Marine7 and welcome to the forums,

I'm assuming by 'select subject' you're referring to the new Machine learning Select Subject option in the Select menu...

This has been reported as a bug in the New Features and Improvements thread for that feature... If you make sure you have the picture selected in the Layers panel first you should find the option will make the selection without the app crashing...

The issue "App crashes when using Select Subject on a blank document or with no layer selected" (REF: AF-4746) has been fixed by the developers in the latest beta build (2.6.0.2900). The fix is planned for inclusion in the next customer release.
Customer beta builds are announced here and you can participate by following these instructions.
If you still experience this problem once you are using that build version (or later) please reply to this thread including @Affinity Info Bot to notify us.
