NotMyFault
Create new file place an embedded afphoto file Add any other layer activate hand tool or move tool, as I want to re-arrange layers in the layer stack observed: choose embedded layer to mark it in the layer stack -> Photo automatically opens the file which is not wanted. No double click was used. expected: Just marking the layer should not open it, but just toggle selected / not selected status, and allow to move that layer (both in the layer stack, or in the canvas) Quote Mac mini M1 A2348 | Windows 10 - AMD Ryzen 9 5900x - 32 GB RAM - Nvidia GTX 1080 LG34WK950U-W, calibrated to DCI-P3 with LG Calibration Studio / Spider 5 iPad Air Gen 5 (2022) A2589 Special interest into procedural texture filter, edit alpha channel, RGB/16 and RGB/32 color formats, stacking, finding root causes for misbehaving files, finding creative solutions for unsolvable tasks, finding bugs in Apps. Staff Lee D Posted October 31 Staff Share Posted October 31 @NotMyFault If you single tap the placed embedded files icon in the layer stack this will open it for editing, it's by design.

Understood. Can you please explain how you can select a layer without opening it? e.g in case you want to move it, delete it, or rasterize it etc. in all other cases (layer types) you can just select a layer, and then choose any further operation you want to apply on it, or adding adjustment or filter layers atop of or nested to that selected layer. This is now impossible. I have to add an empty pixel layer to be able to add adjustment layers directly above nested files. Click on the name/type field, rather than the thumbnail. Or perhaps on the layer-type. Or, for moving the layer, click and drag the thumbnail, rather than simply clicking. For Rasterizing, it's a right-click (if you want the context menu, rather than using the Layer menu) so you shouldn't have any issues. That does the trick. I had the layer stack in thumbnail view only view, so I need to expand the view first. walt.farrell 1 Quote Mac mini M1 A2348 | Windows 10 - AMD Ryzen 9 5900x - 32 GB RAM - Nvidia GTX 1080 LG34WK950U-W, calibrated to DCI-P3 with LG Calibration Studio / Spider 5 iPad Air Gen 5 (2022) A2589 Special interest into procedural texture filter, edit alpha channel, RGB/16 and RGB/32 color formats, stacking, finding root causes for misbehaving files, finding creative solutions for unsolvable tasks, finding bugs in Apps.
