Copy text between files

Recommended Posts

Hi

I have created a file but want to add the same to a packaging mock up.

The image seems fine when copy paste between files and I can re size it.

The text however can't be resized.

I think there must be a better way of doing this but being new to design, Im not even sure of a question to ask.

I hope the images explain my issue.

File Affinity 1 is where I copy the images from

File Affimity two is where I paste the images to. The image resizes ok, the text just stays at this same size.

Thanks

Without seeing the full workspace, I'm just guessing, but I think you've used the Text Frame tool. A text frame can be resized using the "detached" bottom right handle. Or you could set your text using Artistic Text tool instead, which I find more versitile for short, headline type text pieces.

Yes, you need to learn the difference between the Frame Text tool and Artistic Text tool. You have drawn a text frame with the Frame Text tool.

Resizing Artistic Text will scale the text.

Resizing Frame Text will scale the frame but not the text within it unless you drag the outer bottom-right Content Scaling handle. The inner bottom-right handle is a regular size handle that scales only the frame but the outer one scales the text content and frame together.
