Ken Cope
I started a new document and set the colour to CMYK in the document setup. Then I opened the Colour Tab. I expected the Colour tab to automatically update to CMYK when opened but it remained as RGBhowever, the colours in the RGB sliders look like CMYK - see screenshot Quote Windows 11 Pro 64bit ¤ AMD Threadripper 3990x ¤ Nvidia RTX 3090 ¤ 256GB DDR4 Ram ¤ ROG Zenith II Extreme Alpha
Chris_K
Hi Ken The colour tab defaults to what ever it last displayed, it is not really governed by the document type. The format used for the colour slider does not affect the colour format that is applied, ie using RGB sliders will still place a CMYK colour in a CMYK document. As people, may prefer using other inputs such as HSL wheel or the boxes we decided not to have this automatically switch and make it the user's choice. MikeW
It would be nice if the user's choice stuck until explicitly changed. Alfred and Ken Cope

OK I understand, however, going by that reasoning, as the user I have decided to use CMYK, shouldn't the Colour tab reflect that by changing the Colour tab to CMYK? Then, starting an RGB document, the Colour tab, switching to RGB means I'm off the starting blocks without having to alter the tab. This is unless I want to use HSL or LAB of course. Mark Ingram
This is a reasonable suggestion, but not specific to the Windows version, so I'm going to move it to the Feature Requests forum.
