marciomendonsa
Dear all, I have recently installed the On1 plugin, On1 Effects 2024, in Affinity Photo. However, despite the plugin appearing in the menu, it is not enabled for use. Could someone help me? Please find attached the screenshots. walt.farrell
You have an RGB/32 image. Plugins generally require RGB/8 or RGB/16 images. marciomendonsa 1 Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. With another RGB/8 image, it worked. However, it only works if the On1 Effects plugin is already open as a standalone in another window. If it's not, simply nothing happens. Attached is the video. Sorry; I've no idea what might cause that. marciomendonsa 1 Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. I noticed that when logging in as an Administrator, the plugin works perfectly. It must be something related to permissions. The worst thing I did was purchase the new version of AP through the Microsoft Store.

Assuming you Linked the purchase to your Affinity Store account when offered that opportunity, you can Uninstall the MS Store version, download from the Affinity Store, and install from there. That also allows you to choose between the MSIX and MSI/EXE version of the installer. You can confirm it's Linked at https://affinity.store/account/licences To Uninstall, right-click on Affinity Photo 2 in the Windows Start menu, and choose Uninstall. Then Download from https://affinity.store/update/windows/photo/2 and choose the installer you want and run it. marciomendonsa 1 Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU.
