There is no Auto Crop Feature in Photo 2

Recommended Posts

I have recently moved from Photoshop, which I have been using daily to process images for my eCommerce site.  It has a very useful autocrop feature which I used as part of a Macro to resize images  for product pages.

Although I can crop images manually in Photo 2, it is not possible to crop them automatically.

Please add this as a feature ASAP.

There is an auto-crop feature in Photo 2. If you. Have a Pixel Selection active, and select the Crop Tool, it will initialize to Crop to the Selection.

Perhaps that's not what you want, though. What do you expect an "auto-crop" to do? How would it pick the size, and location, to crop to?

Yes, but I need to manually select the object first. This means I can't automate the cropping as part of a macro. The equivalent function in Photoshop automatically selects the object by removing "whitespace" then crops in one action.
