Mycocosm
On Mac OS 14.6.1, Affinity Designer 2 v2.5.5 As you can see, my styled object is partially obscuring an overlapping object, which I would like to have on top. I'm not interested in changing the opacity of the styled object as this alters the color scheme. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

The corresponding Toolbar icons (to the left of the file name) seem to confirm the desired tasks have been executed. I would, especially if in doubt about the layer hierarchy, look in the Layers panel, also for blend modes, masks etc. Quote macOS 10.14.6 | MacBookPro Retina 15" | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1
R C-R
In the first part of your video you are selecting a group object named "oak." In the last part you are selecting an unnamed curve object. Which of these are you trying to move to the back?
