Big aliasing problem

Recommended Posts

This looks like a situation where it’s not a bug but just how the software is supposed to work.

In other words, if it’s what it seems to be from the screen-grab*, it’s expected behaviour even though it might not be expected by the user.

See, for example: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/147298-thin-space-between-adjacent-objects-fixable/

And: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/147196-aligned-objects-not-actually-aligned/

There are some ‘workarounds’ mentioned in those threads that might be useful but, as mentioned in those threads, the software is working as designed, even if people have asked that it work differently.

* Full-screen screenshots (whole application UI) are often much more useful for diagnostic purposes than limited-size screen-grabs.

Can you explain me why:

"There are some ‘workarounds’ mentioned in those threads that might be useful but, as mentioned in those threads, the software is working as designed, even if people have asked that it work differently."

How people wanted the software to act like that?

Even when i disactivate AA there is some ALPHA passtrough the border.
There is no workaround for me. Or the workaround is to become a fool with insanity to work with a software like that.

I will draw inside Toon Boom even if the drawing tools isn't as good as AFD, there is absolutely no aliasing problem like that

Without more details about how the document is constructed it might be difficult to know what the issue is or what can be done about it, if anything.

If you can share an example document which exhibits the issue then we can examine it to see if the issue is the one I mentioned above or something different.

There's a chance that the issue isn't that what I mentioned above, but without the document to check and experiment with we can't really know.

Thank's for you answer, but im an artist, i dont want to tinker around for resolving problem.

All the workaround that exist only kill creativity with needed to adjust/modificate thing.

Other vector software seem to work better, that's pity but killing the creativity of an artist is bad.

I thought that one of the things that artists really liked to do was to tinker around and find new and interesting ways to create their art and solve artistic problems.

Maybe I’ve just been talking to the wrong kind of artists.
