anto
I created the table of contents and after some changes I updated it. I got a very bad picture. All the entries were written in capital letters, even though there is no such option in the typography panel or in the style settings. There is no way to change this. The only way is to delete the table of contents and recreate it again. Each table of contents style is based on the main one. There are no capital letters. MikeTO
Anto, there is a known issue with updating the TOC and the last character attributes applied being applied to the TOC. This is a painful bug and there are two solutions. First, avoid the problem when possible by defining a style to default as you have already done. For example, if you update the TOC and it becomes italic, change the font style in the TOC paragraph style from No change to Regular. When the problem occurs, draw a small temporary text frame in the margin and select the formatting attribute that is the problem. In your case, select All Caps or Small Caps or whatever it is. Then turn it off and select Default again. Update the TOC again and the problem should go away. This happens to me so frequently that I just keep a small empty text frame in the margin of my TOC for convenience. This issue is logged as both AF-1003 and AF-1233. https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/search/&tags=AF-1003 https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/search/&tags=AF-1233 For Serif, these additional threads should probably be tagged with the issue, too. https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/203114-melding-bijwerken-inhoudsopgave/#comment-1210127 https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/161659-table-of-contents-font-changes-to-bold-or-italic/#comment-919486 https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/193035-apub-weired-toc-fix-issue/#comment-1143447 Hangman and Patrick Connor 1 1 Quote Download a free PDF manual for Affinity Publisher 2.5 Download a quick reference chart for Affinity's Special Characters Affinity 2.5 for macOS Sequoia 15.1, MacBook Pro 14" (M4 Pro)
