Hi,

I had an idea to create a 3D street scene in which all the buildings were made up of the word 'BLACK'. (Don't ask me why)... I sometimes get these weird ideas and then see if I CAN do it.

It was quite fun to do, although a little difficult as I'd not used the Perspective and Mesh Warp Tools in Affinity Photo very much. I created some simple 3D squares and extruded them in Vue, exported them and then brought them into Affinity Photo. I then redrew them using the Pen tool so that I had the left side view separate from the right side view of the buildings (also the top). Then I proceeded to type BLACK and fill it with a black texture. Then I attached each one to the buildings. I found I had to create guides so that it looked kinda correct as I was placing them up the sides of the buildings and using the Perspective and Mesh Warp Tools to get them in the right perspective (well, as right as I could get it).

It also gave me another idea, which I am currently working on (in Affinity Designer).

I'm glad I'm not the only one!
And I'm glad you got this one, not me -- you've made a much better job than I would have done.
