treadpath Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 I just started having this problem with my file (the error message "save failed because the file could not be written to"). I am on a Mac running Sonoma 14.5, and the version of Affinity Publisher 2 I am using is 2.5.5. It won't allow me to save it, save as it, or save it as a package. All my art is linked, the only preflight errors are one spelling error and a bunch of non-proportional art warnings. I have read the previous messages on this subject and tried the fixes therein. Is there anything else I can try to save my work? Quote
carl123 Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 Create a new one page document Use the command Document > Add Pages from File Select your "stuck" document See what happens This may only import the document as it was the last time you successfully saved it but it's worth a try and does no harm to the original document stokerg 1 Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. If any of "my" posts are wrong or appear to be total b*ll*cks they are the ones generated by the AI. If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.
Staff stokerg Posted September 24, 2024 Staff Posted September 24, 2024 Hi @treadpathand Welcome to the Forums, Did the advice from @carl123 help you get a saved version of your file? Quote
