elbchaussee Posted September 23, 2024 Posted September 23, 2024 I am still occupied with my 1.300 footnote text. I received today a new version form the author - as usual a WordPerfect X3-File ... I managed to save that file as a MS Word 97/2000/20023/2003-file (*.doc) and imported it via Ctrl-A, Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V in APub which worked fine (even with 1.300 footnotes). Now I am able to assign alle the different text styles. But one strange issue occured which you can see below: Page 2 ist empty ... In Indesign there would be a small glyph for the beginning of a new page at the end of the old one: ˇ If I delete that small glyph the text on the new page will immediately appear under the last line of the old page's text. Neither in the WordPerfect-file nor in the Word-file is anything to find at the end of page 1. I can't find anything similar in APub at the end of page 1. So what should I do to get rid of the empty page 2? Thanks in advance. Quote

First you could include the frame on page 2 in the text flow. (currently it jumps from page 1 to page 3) 1 hour ago, elbchaussee said: If I delete that small glyph the text on the new page will immediately appear under the last line of the old page's text. What/where is "the old page" ? The tiny glyph in ID is a column break, two of this tiny arrows are a frame break. If there is only one column in a frame + one frame on a page then column, frame or page break do all the same: continue on the next page. – In APub the glyphs look a little different.
