Coconut42 Posted October 20, 2014 Share Posted October 20, 2014 Hi again, there's one small thing that I find highly unintuitive: When I have a selected object (they seem to be called "layers" here) on the canvas and I click the right mouse button I get a context menu where I can "do stuff". When I click the right mouse button on an entry in the list/overview/tree of all "Layers" to the right of the screen, nothing happens at all; I would expect the very same context menu to show up... Staff MEB Posted October 20, 2014 Staff Share Posted October 20, 2014 You can identify each type by the grey description between parenthesis on the right of the name (if you gave it one). Layers are identified as (Layers), groups as (Groups) and objects are identified as (Curves) etc. Regarding the context menu in the layers panel, i believe it will be implemented later but only a dev can give you more details about this. Coconut42 Posted October 20, 2014 Author Share Posted October 20, 2014 Erm, my point was that I can't invoke the layer's context menu from it's entry in the list of all Layers - clicking the right mouse button does nothing, whereas it does open the context menu when directly right-clicking on a layer/object in the canvas... I would hope that this is a non-controversial and simple-to-implement addition that doesn't break anything - seeing that currently nothing happens when right-clicking there. Takezo Posted November 12, 2014 Share Posted November 12, 2014 I also want this right-click feature in layer panel.First I could not find how to duplicate layer and finally I found in edit menu to copy layer. Without reading help document , I could not find it. I really appreciate Affinity Designer ,and thank you for made this awesome tool.
