Stuart Robinson
Hello all, I was asked by Chrisly to post my question here on the forum, so please see below: I'm enjoying using the app so far, but after editing a photo taken with my iPhone 15 pro max when I save it as a jpeg it changes from a HEIF file to a jpg, as I can see no way to save it in the original format. Are there any plans for an app update to allow the file to be saved as a HEIF? As there is a noticeable degradation of the image quality. Thanks in advance. Kind regards Stuart R C-R
R C-R
Who is Chrisly & why are they asking you to post here? Regardless, there is no way to export a HEIF file you have opened to that format but you can export it to a different format like TIFF to see if it offers adequate image quality for whatever you are going to use it for. Stuart Robinson
Chrisly works for Affinity & asked me to post my question here as they all get reviewed by others who may be able to update the programme. Thanks I'll try a TIFF & also plan to try RAW.

Thanks I'll try a TIFF & also plan to try RAW. You should be able to export to TIFF, but not RAW. In fact I'm not aware of any software that allows you to develop, process, edit a image file, and then export or create a RAW file from that. You can take various RAW formats, and save them using Adobe's RAW convertor DNG. DNG is seen by software as a RAW, but it just contains one. Stuart Robinson
Ron P, I didn't mean export to Raw, but to shoot in RAW on the phone, edit that & then export it to jpeg in the hopes that the image doesn't degrade as it did when I went from HEIF to jpeg. Thanks for your input, it all helps. 👍 R C-R

What do you mean when you say you went from HEIF to jpeg? How were you doing that if not with an app or changing how you were shooting photos with your phone?
