voom
When redocking floating panels to the studio, say a panel has the color, style, brushes tabs and another in the studio has layers and effects, the formerly floating panel has one tab left and all the other tabs it contained move to the already docked panel beneath it. Generally moving panels and tabs around leads to unwanted results regularly.
Staff TonyB Posted July 1, 2016 Staff Share Posted July 1, 2016 Thanks for the report. We have a few issues logged with panel dragging so we will hopefully have a fix in the coming weeks.
voom
Just a note: i mixed up the terms. With "panels" I meant (is there a word for those?) "collections of panels" and with "tabs" I meant "panels" ;)
MaryLou
I was so frustrated yesterday. I undocked my tool panel (was following a tutorial) and I must have tried at least 20 times to re-dock it. Just as I was about to give up, it finally "caught" and stayed there. I don't know if that's considered as a bug or not but thought I would mention it. I just won't undock it anymore. voom
MaryLou: this made me find the option to undock the toolbar - thanks (I had expected to be able to drag it out and in like the panels). But it simply undocks and docks via the menu "View" - "Dock Tools" with no issues (for me)
MaryLou
Yes!! I have since found that menu option. I was following a tutorial which showed how to drag the toolbar off to undock it and said you can just move it back to re-dock. I did it without looking for any other way. In spending a lot of time looking at the various menus, I spotted the Dock Tools option. So much easier!! So much to learn!!! Thank you for your reply!
