dcarvalho84 Posted September 4, 2024 Posted September 4, 2024 Hi, i've installed MacOS Sequoia and i'm having some problems which i think you guys want to handle before MacOS Sequoia release. Thumbnails are not stored/shown in files in Finder and the file preview doesn't work with quick look (space bar preview) Affinity Fonts .affont are not being loaded either installed manually or through the account window. For me both are at this point slowing down my work, but i know that using beta versions could cause some issues but i really would like if if can take a look into this before Sequoia release. Quote

dcarvalho84 Posted September 10, 2024 Author Posted September 10, 2024 Hi @MEB i've just installed Sequoia RC and nothing has changed on Apple side fonts doesn't load and thumbnails and previews are not working as well, so the fix really need to come from you guys, and it will be released to public on September 16, so if a fix is not released until there i think your support inbox will be full of this. If you need me to try/test something, please let me know! adizack 1 Quote

SebastianGinard Posted September 19, 2024 Posted September 19, 2024 Hi, Still the same problem here (AF icon instead of image preview in finder). Today I upgraded to Sequoia (the final version, not the beta one) and I missed all the AF images preview in finder, now just got again the plain AF icon. Of course, I already checked if "Save thumbnails with documents" is still on at all AF suite (and switched off and on again just in case...). AF v2.5.5. I suppose we have to wait again (it usually happens on every major Mac SO upgrade) for dev team fixes it, right?... Regards, Sebastian Quote
mioo Posted September 19, 2024 Posted September 19, 2024 I did the official update tonight. Now I am completely lost... Thousands of Affinity files without a thumbnail = the complete horror! "THANK YOU" Apple! 😑 Quote
Staff MEB Posted September 19, 2024 Staff Posted September 19, 2024 Hi @FluorescentTurban, @SebastianGinard, @mioo, Welcome to Affinity Forums We hoped to have this fixed and ready for the Sequoia release, but unfortunately, it wasn't possible. Nonetheless, we are actively working on these issues (thumbnails/Quick Preview) and hope to have a fix as soon as possible. Thank you for your feedback. Sure, These things can happen on any major OS upgrade, whether is MacOS or Windows. So, a little patience and hoping to be fixed asap. Just a question @MEB, when you get fixed this issue, will the new version be released at the same time at Apple App Store and your website?, I got all my Affinity bundle via the App Store. srg Posted September 19, 2024 Posted September 19, 2024 Sequoia has beed released, I did not know of the problem and now I am screwed. Affinity should have sent an email to inform of the problem!!!! this is terrible!!! kenmcd 1 Quote

srg Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 I installed Sequoia and all AP files not show only AP logo. But I wonder, how a fix in AP can change something that is already on my drives. Should not that be a problem of Apple to solve? I must say that this problem is costing me time and money and I desperately do not want to switch to PS. Quote

What will happen now, will we need an update from Apple? I really do not understand what will be the solution. Quote
