Some problems when working with PDF and IDML files in Publisher

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Today I opened a PDF and IDML files created with InDesign and found the following problems:

PDF

  1. Page 3 has too much errors.
  2. Body text paragraphs must be left justified, but most of them are aligned left or right.
  3. Spacing between text paragraphs must be set to “space after” instead of “space before”.
  4. Some sentences are broken with “ENTER”. Mostly at hyphenated words.
  5. Most of the paragraphs are left/right indented for a small amount.

 IDML

  1. Page 4 – not all the text is shown. Text frame needs to be resized for a small amount to display the rest of the text.
  2. Missing text on page 9 where the TOC (СОДРЖИНА) is.
  3. There is no “Text Wrap” applied around the images.
  4. Some paragraph styles’ names have “SB” at the beginning of the name, instead of “55”.

Please tell me where to send the password of the archive because the files are confidental.

Hi Petar,

If possible could you upload a non password protected version of the .zip to the following link? Alternatively you should be able to PM me via my profile with the password.

This will allow me to investigate this issue further with you.
