deannab
this has happened since the first time i downloaded photo years ago. it won't open, now even after uninstall/reinstall. usually it would work until i shut the computer down, then have to reinstall. now it won't even start after reinstall. was told in the past to not let it connect to the VPN, which worked until MSIX which hides the application EXE. tried the beta installation, and still no luck. i have images to process for a new web site and this is really setting me back. how does this get fixed? thanks
walt.farrell
If the MSIX version doesn't work well with your other applications, then I suggest you uninstall the MSIX, download the EXE/MSI installer, and install that instead. Note that if you do this, you will need to be careful whenever the apps prompt you to Download an updated version, and make sure you continue to Download the EXE/MSI version instead of the MSIX version. Also, when you try to run it, how does it fail? Staff Lee D Posted September 9 Staff Share Posted September 9 @deannab On top of @walt.farrell suggestions. Have you tried opening the app using the CTRL key? Hold down the CTRL key and open the app, when the options appear release the key. Leave the default options checked but also check Disable Hardware Acceleration (V2 only) and then click Clear. If you're still using V1, follow the steps in this FAQ article to disable Hardware Acceleration. It's also worth checking to see if Windows is up to date and if any updates are available for your graphics drivers. It may also be worth checking the Windows Event Viewer and exporting the logs to be checked.

Cmd wouldn't do anything for that.
