pomme27 Posted September 2, 2024 Posted September 2, 2024 I know very little about brushes, but would like to purchase a brush pack that contains vector brushes with .ai and .eps file extensions (see image). From the file name extensions, will these brushes work in Affinity Designer 2? If no, where is the best place to find brush packs that work in AD2? Thank you. Quote
walt.farrell Posted September 2, 2024 Posted September 2, 2024 No, the Affinity apps would not recognize those as brushes. You need .afbrushes or .abr files (and even .abr files are not guaranteed to work). Frankentoon has some great ones. I bought six packs of brushes on Design Cuts who represent different companies. They always have some sort of sale. Just do a browser search on Affinity Brushes. Don't forget you can use raster brushes in Pixel Personal from Designer. I have tons of those, too. Quote

Juhani Posted October 21, 2024 Posted October 21, 2024 Please do, but be warned, the "vector" brushes sold for Affinity Designer either on Affinity's Add-Ons store or elsewhere are regrettably NOT true vector brushes and thus do not come with infinite resolution. Learned this the hard way myself after having bought many packs there myself. It's a real bummer they do not care to share this absolutely crucial piece of information anywhere in their brush pack descriptions.
