Affinity Rat
I would like to address a problem regarding photo rotation. From my understanding this is a thorny problem for the following reasons. Every viewer may have different way to handle photo orientation. Many viewers read exif orientation tags. Some photos have embedded thumbnails with or without thumbnail exif Some viewers read exif of the embedded thumb to orient photo. Give all the above its seems difficult to determine what is the actual file orientation without respect to exif. It appears the only way to have a photo appear as desired is to open it with the target viewer, but given the number of potential viewers when publishing or sharing a photo how can you ensure the orientation is as intended? I’ve occasionally have files that the thumb is not consistent with the file.
