StuartRc
Monster Club II Created the first part of Monster Club II using AD 2.5 and all its new goodies! Uploaded as a single AD file instead of just creating a collection of assets. You can copy out the artboard to make a seperate file for each if you wish! AD File contains 10 re-worked | new creatures which you can play around with to your hearts content! Some Notes 1. Single Affinity Designer File with 10 artboards 2, Each drawing consists of a vector Ink outline which obviously can be coloured and a base shape (Created with the pen tool) a. Ink Outline created from inking using a selection of raster brushes. b. Base Flat created using the Pen Tool (Could have used the boleans and fill holes | separate curves) but can be unpredictable and need to make sure the outlines are closed. 3. I do have some more detailed drawings (sub-division of elements) but for these I uploaded a 2 layer object for each creature. 4. A swatch selection using sampled sets taken from the original drawings (Some are vector others raster!). I simplifed this a bit so didn't include every colour. The titles and swatches are in background but not locked 5. The ink outline vector objects tends to be heavy on the nodes. I would not recommend trying to fill inner shapes just using the Vector Fill Tool.. Instead draw additional vectors using pen tool or Pencil tool and use these to create additional vector elements using the Vector Tool 6. It is advantageous when filling objects with the Vector Fill Tool to Lock the INK Outline object.. It makes it easier to fill and you do not keep selecting and filling the outline by accident! 7. The main purpose of the Base Flat is to provide something into which you can directly place vector elements or paint inside with raster brushes 8. Adding Colours: If using vector elements it is faster to draw vectors inside shapes using a restricted Palette. Then re-colour using the swatches and pre-loading the style into the Style Picker Tool (Click to fill) 9. Raster Painting: There are several raster Project Brush Sets that you can use to paint the creatures. Some are freely available on Forum 10. Textures: There are several Vector Texture and pattern fill assets that can be used to assist painting 11. Brushes: Useful Project Brush Sets for painting PD 35 Zombie Sample Version PB 19 Inker PB 31 Base Texture Toolkit Artboards 01 -05 Artboards 06 -10 Artboards 11 -15 Artboards 16 -20 Single File as attached 10 Page Monster Club Colouring Book 02.zip 20 Page Monster Club Colouring Book 06.zip IthinkthereforeIam, A_B_C, Hilltop and 2 others 3 2 Quote Affinity Version 1 (10.6) Affinity Version 2.5.6.2887 All (Designer | Photo | Publisher) Beta; 2.6.0.2900 OS:Windows 10 Pro 22H2 OS Build 19045.4412+ Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.19056.1000.0 Rig:AMD FX 8350 and AMD Radeon (R9 380 Series) Settings Version 21.04.01 Radeon Settings Version 2020 20.1.03) + Wacom Intuous 4M with driver 6.3.41-

I was a very very long time ago!..maybe even before the Dinosaurs! I have modified the approach to these vector patterns to make it a bit more efficient. + to work better with Monster II File sizes In an AD file: Notes 1. Create File 300dpi at required size 2. Add a layer just as a container for images (or multiple images with Layer blending adjusted!) 3. Stack the adjustments at the top of the file (Threshold | Black and White | Curves | Levels) + others as nec 4. Drag an image into the Image Layer Container from Stock Palette. (Scale | adjust as nec) 5. Modify adjustments where necessary 6. Stack Images and adjust Layer Blend Modes 7. When you have the texture (Black and white) Copy the Artboard into Inkscape and create the vectors (Much quicker!) 8. Paste Back to AD remove group container and Line fill This way you can slide the imported image around and adjust the layer adjustment settings to create new textures DelN 1 Quote Affinity Version 1 (10.6) Affinity Version 2.5.6.2887 All (Designer | Photo | Publisher) Beta; 2.6.0.2900 OS:Windows 10 Pro 22H2 OS Build 19045.4412+ Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.19056.1000.0 Rig:AMD FX 8350 and AMD Radeon (R9 380 Series) Settings Version 21.04.01 Radeon Settings Version 2020 20.1.03) + Wacom Intuous 4M with driver 6.3.41-
