Ervin Hajdú
I use a Xerox Color C60 printer for printing (with FreeFlow Print Server) and has been a mistake for years (especially in Publisher, but also in Designer and Photo) that printing does not always start. I click on the OK button on the print window and nothing happens. If I click again, printing usually starts. Maximum third. The error is random, I can't reproduce it, independent of the size of the files, the number of pages, I could not determine the causal relationship. This error does not occur for other applications (Word, CorelDRAW, InDesign, etc.), only in Affinity. I would like to ask if other users also have this failure? I use Windows 10 x64 and always the last versions of Affinity programs. Thank you in advance for your help!
walt.farrell
Sorry, but I have no experience using a printer connected to a remote print server, which I think is your setup. And no one else here in the forums has mentioned that particular setup, as far as I can see. (Nor am I finding other reports on the web.) Do I understand correctly that it will print if you click Print again, or perhaps a couple of times? I'm curious: when clicking Print does work, what kind of feedback do you get? Ervin Hajdú
Yes, this is a special, interesting bug, and it doesn't happen all the time, approx. 3-5% of printing processes. The process is as follows: I start printing by pressing the OK button, the print window disappears. However, the data does not even go to the printer. When repeating, everything is usually fine. In this case, the small "Print item" window pops up and shows the processing process - if it is a larger file. For smaller files, this difference is not always noticeable (the appearance of the Print Item window). walt.farrell
