Affinity-Inspiration
The big standard Ariel san-serif has been around for years. On the web, body text can be in a sans serif or serif font. Sans serifs were once preferred for screen text because they rendered better on the lower-resolution screens of the past. (That’s why most graphical user interfaces are built around sans serif fonts). But on today’s screens, serif fonts look equally good and given that Affinity (iPad) is very high resolution a nice Serif font as a default would be good. Most books, newspapers, and magazines use serif fonts for body text. It’s the traditional choice and still the best choice. Quote iPad Mini 6. 256GB. My GoTo design platform. M2 Mac Mini. 24GB. PaulEC
It would certainly be a good idea for users to be able to easily set their own choice of default font. At the moment it seems to be quite a long winded process. Ideally I would like a simple dropdown in Settings to choose any one from a list of your installed fonts.
