Affinity & Vector Lab Ink Stamp Automator

Recommended Posts

Old Photoshop (since beta) user and various plugins.

Have various Vector Labs sets including Ink Stamp Automator.

For the life of me, I can't seem to get it to work with Affinity Photo 2 or Designer 2.

Have asked them, no response.

Their videos (7 years old) were for Photoshop & Affinity (v1) and doesn't seem to work with v2.

Anyone else got it to work?

Welcome to the Affinity forums, @Clayton4740.

If they show instructions for using it with V1, I would expect that same version of the plugins to work with V2, if the instructions showed doing a manual install using the Affinity Preferences, Photoshop Plugins, dialog. But if they showed an application or installer detecting the Photo V1 application and installing a plug-in into it, that may not work with V2 because they'd be looking for the wrong application.

I'm not familiar with that particular plug-in, so without a pointer to the installation video I can't help further. Sorry.

I can't see any reason why the vector labs files wouldn't work in Affinity v2, they are simply textures grouped and overlayed over an embedded file, with the addition of an inner shadow to create a border. I watched the affinity video and found the process overly complicated, everything that was done could be done with a single file, none of this export out, place back in malarkey. All you really need are a few textured overlay brushes.

Absolutely!...but also I think @TrentL among others produced a video demonstrating a similar effect here
you just need some text and a vector | raster texture to reporduce these effects. This is demonstrated here
