project_2501
Why are threads on the long startup bug now deleted? Why is there no existing thread to which we can add discussion? Is this what Affinity has become? Shut down discussion and debate?
project_2501
My wife, an experienced designer. has moved back to Adobe - even with their subscription model. One of the major reasons was the startup issue. I don't know how widespread this is, but I'd bet it is not an isolated case. Not fixing this issue, shutting down any debate, does not give the impression of a professional organisation you can trust into the future. Sadly, this is not uncommon. I know a number of folks (my wife included, also a designer) who tried using the Affinity apps but soon ran into blocking bugs, UX issues, workflow issues, constant workarounds, and/or missing features. The potential cost savings of using Affinity quickly became moot for them, as the cost of lost productivity when using the Affinity apps far outweighed the cost of an Adobe subscription. The start-up issue is just one issue of many that desperately needs attention. That said, the Affinity apps are great value if they meet your needs, and fit within your workflow. project_2501
