jobeyb
It would be nice if on the UNDO menu selection, it showed which operation is to be undone. If you have a number of undo's it's nice to know when to stop. Thanks.
Staff Andy Somerfield Posted July 1, 2016 Staff Share Posted July 1, 2016 Hi, I use the "History" panel for this - down at the bottom right of the screen. It allows you to click directly on the named history step you want to go back to, or drag the slider to scrub through history. Hope this helps, Andy. jobeyb
See. Told you I'd only scratched the surface. Now I know something more. I'll give it a go. Thanks.

ray555
is there a dedicated undo / redo button anywhere, or are just just following Adobe and not bothering with one ?
Dave Harris
There's no button. There is the keyboard shortcut, and in the History panel there is a slider and you can just click on the command in the list that you want to undo.
VertigoBirdie
is there a dedicated undo / redo button anywhere, or are just just following Adobe and not bothering with one ? Many apps that rely on visual editing and object creation don't have an actual button for undo/redo. That's far from being an Adobe-exclusive decision. On a different note, it's completely normal to see similar metaphors and features in AD and AI. After all a huge part of the functionality is overlapping. Besides, Adobe's not wrong on everything – I use AD for my work every day and absolutely love it and I have my grudges with Illustrator, but I can't deny that Adobe has made some good choices in that software. MyersKl
As the title says. Alt-click a node that gives you an "Error" and then click edit and undo it. Nothing happens.
