monospace zero-width diacritics don't work

i am currently designing a monospace font, using isFixedPitch to make sure it gets recognized as such. however, when i test it in affinity publisher, adding diacritics creates empty spaces behind the glyph.

this error does not show up in other text editing or design software, which also recognizes the n with the diacritics as a single character, that can be backspaced at once.

Would you mind uploading the font you are using and a sample .afpub file to our Dropbox here and once i've replicated the issue, i can get it logged with the Developers
